13 September 2006

The inaugural meeting of The 729 Club got off to a flying start with 43 attendees (17 from Chippy and surrounding villages.) People formed some useful connections and real business was done as a result.

With its emphasis on building relationships (rather than flogging products & services) the meeting had a relaxed and informal atmosphere, no small thanks to The Crown & Cushion who laid on a superb breakfast in The Barrett-Shields Conference Suite. A wide cross section of businesses large & small attended and with representatives present from the like of WODC, Faringdon Gateway, Business Link and Oxford Business Enterprises there were plenty of opportunities for gathering information and support.

Breakfast was followed by a brief presentation from Ken Norman & Tim Lyon who explained the aims and philosophy for the club.

It would be great to see a few more business people from Chipping Norton present and the assembled company were asked to bring along a Chippy based business with them next month.
