We were treated to a great presentation entitled “Bills, Bins & Benefits” by Will Barton, Economic Development Officer of West Oxfordshire District Council. In his talk he dispelled a few myths about the way the council work and gave us some tips for getting the most out of the council. The watch word was communication: communicate with the planners, communicate with the business development team, communicate with licensing. Will did counsel against trying to communicate if you wish to sell to the council – at least by telephone or by letter.
